Nationwide (28 beaches; flagship site The Foreshore, POS)
National beach cleanup coordinated by CNIRD with Ministry of Planning, IMA and EMA. Individuals, schools, families and corporate teams register via Google Form. 2026 edition has passed – list as recurring for Sept 2027.
Set up venues, keep events on time, usher authors between sessions and signings, answer programme questions, run book sales and merchandise at the Caribbean's biggest literary festival.
Community work-weekend clearing fire traces, planting and prepping the St. Ann's watershed. 200,000+ native trees planted since 1982. Email for the next Gayap date.
A volunteer network: transport animals, foster, help at community spay projects, support primary-school education visits and fundraising, or contribute to welfare research and policy work.
Be a counsellor at a not-for-profit sports camp for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students aged 11–17: recreation, special events, youth counselling, sports coaching or fundraising. Police Certificate of Good Character required.
Give time or skills to United Way's programmes in youth education, financial stability, healthy families and disaster resilience, or join their corporate volunteer days.
Support diabetes education and prevention work: help at screening events, health fairs and community outreach, and assist with the association's programmes.
Flood and disaster response, migrant health clinics, translation, admin. Apply on Better Impact (choose region) with two recommendation letters. Under-18s via school Youth Clubs.
Fundraising, event management, public awareness, training facilitation and direct survivor support for the foundation's Domestic Violence Fund. All volunteers are trained on gender-based violence, child sexual abuse and communication. About 2–4 hours a month, more in October (DV Awareness Month).
Longer-term help with quarterly programming: events management (evenings and weekends over a 3-month period) or admin and outreach during business hours.
Choose a programme — fundraising, cancer education outreach, advocacy or office support — and help the Cancer Society's work with survivors and screening.
Helpline and telephone peer support for kidney patients, fundraising, community outreach, awareness days and online forum moderation. Office roles in Valsayn; many can be done from home.
Tutor, supervise, mentor and help set up at the church's after-school homework centre. Teaching, tutoring or childcare experience helps but isn't required.
Join nightly patrols along 8.8 km of Matura Beach with local data collectors: measure and flipper-tag nesting leatherbacks, excavate nests, count hatchlings, visit schools. Night shifts until ~3 am in heat, rain and humidity.
Two tracks: Listeners train to take calls from people in distress; Friends support committees, outreach, events, media and fundraising with a minimum 4-week commitment and weekly online meetings.
Support SPOTT's nine-month mentorship programme (January–September) for students and young professionals, or help with marketing, partnerships, social media, website, newsletter and event planning. One-year commitment; T&T nationals or heritage.
Field excursions on the last Sunday of each month, monthly lectures and citizen-science projects (bird, bat, herp, botany groups). Membership TT$100/yr, TT$50 for ages 15–20.
Practical work experience alongside clients: ex-offenders, deportees, young people in trouble, and families affected by domestic violence and substance abuse. Projects include the Triangle of Hope and substance-abuse programmes.
Nightly foot patrols of three index nesting beaches plus a weekly mobile patrol of other beaches; education outreach and research support. Minimum 4-week stay; no fee but cover your own lodging, food and insurance.
Civic-initiative volunteering: bring a practical idea for a national problem, or lend design, writing, tech, legal or finance skills to research and projects. Much of this can be done remotely.
Support training and competition for athletes with intellectual disabilities across aquatics, basketball, athletics, bocce and more — at events, in athlete development and in programme operations.
Support SHE Casa's work against domestic violence: manage thrift-store inventory, create social media content, or give logistical support to community programmes.
Community-run programme (40 members) patrolling one of the densest leatherback rookeries on earth. Volunteers patrol beaches, protect nesting sites and collect data on leatherback, green and hawksbill turtles.
Help survey nesting turtles with community groups across the north-east coast and Tobago, and support the Trust's fundraising and awareness work. Any skill set welcome.
Roles: teachers, event planners, graphic/web designers, photographers, performers, painters, social workers, office assistants. Also monthly hamper distribution. Download form and email it back.
Help at events, raise awareness of sickle cell and other inherited blood disorders, and give administrative support. Flexible roles in event coordination, fundraising, social media and outreach.
Give time and skills at Credo's programmes for vulnerable young people: the Credo Centre for boys, the drop-in centre and Sophia House. Call the main line to ask what they need.
Help care for rescued and captive-bred locally endangered species ahead of release; support tours and enclosure work. Local and international volunteers welcome.
Hands-on care at a non-funded wildlife rescue centre: feeding, enclosure maintenance, rehab-and-release, education support. Also accepts fresh fruit/veg and building materials.
Volunteer form on site for language, entrepreneurship, tech and mentoring workshops, early-childhood and adult education, and food/health support for migrants and vulnerable families. Accepts school/confirmation service hours.
Support the 3-year Heroes Development Programme and 30+ tech courses (Python, cybersecurity, data). No public volunteer form – email to enquire. Child sponsorship from TT$600/month.
Register to help with youth programmes, health services, fundraising, event planning, first aid/CPR, transport or admin. Flexible scheduling — weekday mornings or evenings, or weekends.

Why we created VolunTT
When we looked for ways to volunteer, we discovered countless incredible organisations doing vital work across the country; they were just hard to find in one place. We built VolunTT to bridge that gap: helping volunteers find meaningful ways to give back, while giving grassroots groups the visibility they deserve.
VolunTT is a community-led project, not a business. It’s completely free for both volunteers and organisations, with zero paid promotions or sponsored listings. Our sole aim is to help good work get the support it deserves.

We want you to feel confident about where you’re giving your time. We build the directory from publicly available information, such as organisations’ own websites and social pages.
While we take care in putting together our directory, being listed on VolunTT isn’t a formal endorsement or accreditation, and not every organisation is a registered charity or NPO.
We encourage you to do your own checks before volunteering, particularly before sharing personal information or making payments.

Is VolunTT free?
Yes, VolunTT is completely free to use. You can browse organisations, explore ways to volunteer and find contact information without any charge.
How do I get involved?
Start by exploring organisations and causes that interest you. Once you’ve found something that appeals to you, use the contact details provided to reach out directly and find out how you can help.
Does VolunTT run the volunteering opportunities?
No. VolunTT is a directory: we don’t manage placements or applications. Each organisation is responsible for its own recruitment, training, safeguarding and supervision. Our role is simply to make it easier for you to find and connect with them.
Are all organisations on VolunTT registered charities or NGOs?
Not necessarily. VolunTT includes charities, non-profits, community organisations, associations, clubs and other groups doing work that benefits the community.
Before listing an organisation we look for signs that it is active and relevant to volunteers. We only describe an organisation as a registered charity or NPO where we have enough evidence to support that status.
Do I need any special skills or experience?
Not at all. While some organisations may be looking for particular skills or experience, many simply welcome people who are willing to lend a hand.
Whether you’re a student, a working professional or someone looking to try something new, volunteering can be a great way to share what you know, learn something different and meet people along the way.
Do I have to pay to volunteer?
Volunteering is generally unpaid and shouldn’t require you to pay to participate, although some opportunities may involve legitimate costs for things like transport, training or materials. Any such costs should be clearly explained by the organisation in advance.
We encourage you to be cautious of unexpected fees or requests to send money to personal accounts, and to verify any payment requests directly with the organisation.
What should I check before volunteering?
It’s always worth taking a little time to learn about the organisation and understand what you’ll be doing, who you’ll be working with and what’s expected of you.
For opportunities involving children, vulnerable adults or other sensitive settings, you may also want to ask about safeguarding, supervision, training and any necessary background checks.
I found incorrect or outdated information. What should I do?
We do our best to keep VolunTT accurate, but organisations can change their contact details, websites and programmes over time.
If you come across a broken link, outdated information or anything that doesn’t seem right, please let us know so we can look into it and make any necessary updates.
