Terms of use
Last updated 30 Oct 2026
VolunTT is a free directory of volunteer roles, events and organisations: NGOs, charities and community groups in Trinidad & Tobago. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don’t, please don’t use it.
Using the board
What we do and don’t do
We point you to an organisation. We don’t run the roles, recruit or employ volunteers, take applications, pass on messages or handle money. Every Apply, Register and Donate button leaves this site. There are no accounts.
Listings aren’t guaranteed or endorsed
Listings and organisation profiles come from each organisation’s public pages or from the organisation itself. Before we add an organisation we look for public evidence that it is genuine and currently active, but we can’t verify every detail, and dates, places and contacts change. Please confirm with the organisation before you commit time, travel or money. Listing an organisation doesn’t mean we endorse it, accredit it or share its views, and we only call an organisation a registered charity or NPO where we have evidence of that status.
Donations
Donate buttons take you to the organisation’s own page. We don’t receive, hold or pass on money, and we can’t confirm how a donation will be used or whether it is tax-deductible. Before you give, check you are on the organisation’s genuine page, and never send money to a personal account because of something you read here.
Your relationship with an organisation
You decide which opportunity suits you. The organisation you volunteer with is responsible for your safety, training, supervision and safeguarding, and for deciding whether you’re suitable. We aren’t a party to anything between you and an organisation, and we don’t promise that it will reply or offer you a role. If you have a complaint about an organisation, raise it with them first. For a complaint about this site, use the report form.
Our content
The site, its design, software, wording and the VolunTT name and logo are ours, apart from content that belongs to organisations or others. You may view the site and share links to it. Please don’t copy or resell it, or use it commercially, without our written agreement. You also must not scrape it, run text or data mining on it, or use it to train AI systems. Ordinary search engines that follow our robots.txt are fine.
Other websites
We link to organisations’ sites and use services such as map tiles. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for them.
Organisation profiles
We may create a profile for an organisation that hasn’t posted with us, using information it has made public: its name, logo, a short description written by us, its causes, contact details and links. We use names and logos only to identify the organisation. An organisation can ask us to correct its profile or take it down at any time.
Corrections and removals
If you represent an organisation or are named on a listing and want something corrected, updated or removed, use the report form. If you think something infringes your copyright or trade mark, tell us which page and what, and we will review it.
Using the forms fairly
Please don’t use the post or report forms to send spam, false reports or anything unlawful, or to try to disrupt the site. We may ignore or block submissions that do.
Posting a listing
Who may post
Only organisations. By submitting a listing you confirm that you can speak for a genuine NGO, charity or community group in Trinidad & Tobago and can agree to these terms for it. Posting is free. We decide what to publish, and we may edit, decline or remove any listing at any time.
What you post
It must be accurate and lawful. It must not be defamatory, discriminatory, abusive, misleading or unlawful. It must not infringe anyone’s rights or invade anyone’s privacy, impersonate anyone, or advertise a paid job as a volunteer role. You are responsible for it, and you will cover any loss we suffer if it breaks these rules.
Permission to publish
You keep ownership of your organisation’s name, text and logo. You give us a non-exclusive, free licence to display, edit for length and format, and promote it on VolunTT for as long as the listing is live. We may disclose your identity if the law requires it or someone credibly claims your content infringes their rights.
Your volunteers
You alone are responsible for the safety, training, supervision and safeguarding of the people who volunteer with you, and for the checks your role needs, such as a police certificate. You will follow the laws that apply to your activities, say clearly what is needed to take part (minimum age, parental consent, vetting), and hold appropriate policies and insurance. You will cover any loss we suffer because you broke these commitments.
Applicants and updates
Volunteers contact you directly. We don’t see those messages or check anyone. Please tell us promptly if a listing closes or its details change.
Liability and law
- The site is provided “as is”. Because it is free, our liability for all claims is limited to TT$500, and we aren’t responsible for the acts of any organisation, volunteer or other person you deal with through a listing.
- We may change, pause or close the site, or remove any listing, at any time.
- We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using the site after a change means you accept it.
- If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Trinidad and Tobago, and its courts have jurisdiction.
